2011
We setup our first tipi
The story started in 2011 when we came up with the idea of making glamping tents. The first tent was pitch up at the Bled camp by the lake. We set up an Indian tipi and next was standing a totem statue. Our website was online Indian tent.
2012
Erect indian tipis in wellness
Setting up Indian tents in kindergartens and in a wellness resort.
2013
Developed mini adventure tent
Erection of the first size of 8 m Indian tipi. In addition, we set up the first mini glamping tents for two people – the mini Adventure tent – at the Kranjska Gora Eko camp. We developed first simple wild camp tent.
2014
First glamping resort in the word
Six prestigious tents and 10 smaller tents for two people were erected in the Garden Village Bled. A milestone in the world was set with the first such resort. Camp was awarded with numerous awards – Garden Village Bled.
2015
The first floating glamping tent
We have developed the first floating tent that floats on water and moves by steering the motor. It is a hybrid between a boat and a glamping tent.
2015
Valamar premium resort
Valamar entrusted us with the erection of the first glamping tent in Croatia, in Istria. Valamar Riviera d.d. is the largest tourism company in Croatia – Valamar premium camp resort
2016
Tipis of lakeside camps
We have set up the first large teepees by a lake in Slovenia. We setup several 6-meter teepees and one 8-meter teepee decorated with an eagle.

Glamping in Croatia, Austria & Slovenia
Another milestone for BIGHEAD was the multi-year agreement with Valamar to supply numerous tents across their campsites. These successes have significantly increased the company’s value, establishing us as a key European player in glamping solutions.

2019
Camp Austria & Croatia camp
We build Glamping Camp in Breznik and in Istria Premium Camping Funtana for company Valamar. We set the standard for true luxury camping and the definition of it.
2020
Eco camp in most beautiful valley
In Bovec, in one of Slovenia’s most beautiful alpine valleys, we created a series of mini glamping tents within an eco-conscious camp. Each structure is designed for minimal environmental impact, blending effortlessly into the surrounding landscape.
2021
We entered the German market.
Germany’s first Indian-inspired glamping village featured modern tipis with a touch of Indian décor. The unique accommodations proved popular, resulting in full bookings during peak season.
2022
Germany luxury tents
First true glamping village in Germany Glamping Urlaub am Kiebitzer See. We set up glamping in Leipzig and Kiel.
2023
IZY Family & Adventure tent
We have introduced two innovative tent models designed for small, compact, eco-friendly camping: the IZY Family and the Adventure Tent.
2023
BIGHEAD & Egoles
The fourth milestone of was written. EGOLES & BIGHEAD announced their cooperation. EGOLES with 30 years of experience in skeleton house construction and BIGHEAD with 12 years of experience in the production of prestigious living tents.

Tiny house production begin
No one has ever built a luxury tiny house with two floors and a sauna inside—until now. Once again, we’ve set a new milestone in the world of glamping.
2024
A new standard for tiny houses
We introduced the world’s first tiny house of its kind, setting a new standard for how tiny houses should be built. Just as in the past, we expect others to follow our lead in the future.
2025
Partnership with Vision Domes
We have established a partnership in Germany focused on the marketing and production of canvas for dome structures.

Why BIGHEAD
Who is behind the tents?
The people who build them. And why that changes everything for you.
It started with a programmer who realised he had had enough. Spending every day in front of a screen no longer felt healthy, meaningful, or connected to real life.
I was good at my job—genuinely good. As a creative programmer, I spent years building things on a screen. But at some point, screens stopped being enough. I felt something pulling me back outside. Back to materials you can touch. Work you can actually see.
When you work with your hands, you step out of your head and into the moment. You are present. That was liberating for me. So I walked away from the keyboard and picked up woodworking tools.
That was almost 14 years ago.
I partnered with Alenka. A seamstress. Whose level of skill still surprises me today. She’s that good. Together, we started sewing and setting up teepees all over Slovenia. That’s how the BIGHEAD brand was born.
From the beginning, we had a clear focus on craftsmanship—and that has never changed. At heart, we are both craftspeople. We love building things. You can see that passion in every product we make.
Why the name BIGHEAD?
It comes from the image of a Native American chief, someone living in harmony with the forest, the land, and the water. It represents a life lived outdoors, with clarity, courage, and direction.
In life, you need three things: strong core values, presence in the moment, and passion for creation. Everything else begins to fall into place.
That idea became part of who we are, and it continues to guide the way we design, build, and work today.

When you look at our collection whether it is our tipis, domes, classic tents, or covered communal spaces you will notice a common thread. Every structure is designed to belong in the outdoors. We build them to blend organically into your favourite natural surroundings. This direct connection to the environment does more than just create a beautiful resort. It provides a calming, therapeutic space that is incredibly beneficial for guests, especially children, helping them truly reconnect with the outdoors.

Artificial intelligence, smartphones, televisions, and computers are killing our creativity. They destroy real conversation and pull us completely out of the present moment.
True fulfilment comes from living in the ‘now’, building strong bonds with the people around us, following our inner compass, and finding a clear purpose in life.
BIGHEAD’s mission is to rediscover this lost, fundamental human connection to nature and to each other. We know that stepping away from technology is a massive challenge in today’s world, but providing the physical space to do exactly that is why we build what we build.
Nature is not just a playground. It is healing.
What makes our mission truly special is our focus on the next generation. We want children to experience real freedom, build meaningful connections with their peers, and feel closer to the outdoors. We want them to discover the world through presence, movement, play, and direct experience. That is where healing begins.
But we also recognise a deeper biological truth:
Nature is not just a place to play. It is actively restorative. When children spend time outdoors, they are exposed to a rich diversity of beneficial microbes from soil, plants, air, and natural surroundings. This helps support a stronger gut microbiome, which is closely connected to mood, behaviour, immune resilience, and overall physical health.
Children were not designed to sit still for hours. Classrooms and benches cannot hold their full energy. They need movement, fresh air, open space, and direct contact with the natural world.
The habits, values, and inner patterns that shape a life are formed early. That is why childhood matters so deeply.

BIGHEAD is not built around low-cost production, mass output, or cheap imported materials.
We do not outsource our core work. We do not mass-produce. We do not compromise the structure, the canvas, or the final experience for the sake of a lower price. Every BIGHEAD tent is handcrafted in Slovenia by a dedicated team of architects, engineers, technical makers, and skilled artisans who take genuine pride in what they create.
That standard is not always the easiest path. There have been moments when supply chains were difficult and cheaper alternatives were available. But we held the line. Because for us, quality is not a marketing claim. It is a decision we make again and again, in every material, every joint, every stitch, and every detail.
Creating an extraordinary glamping resort requires serious work. It demands planning, patience, technical knowledge, and respect for the land, the guest, and the long-term value of the investment. That is why we put absolute dedication into every project and every product we deliver.

Being a small team also means we are genuinely flexible. No rigid product catalogue. No standard sizes forced onto non-standard land.
We do not sell off-the-shelf products. We build every tent specifically for your location, ensuring it fits your terrain and local climate perfectly. Not only that, but we absolutely refuse to compromise on design or structural quality.
Each tent we build is conceived and constructed for your specific site, your vision, and your guests. We do not imitate or copy the products of others.

In free time, her passion lies in creating wedding dresses and designing high-fashion clothing.
Thirteen years ago, he launched the BIGHEAD brand based on his ideas. He is an expert in engineering, design, and programming.
In his free time he study evolutionary psychology and quantum physics & consciousness.
They utilize state-of-the-art machinery and advanced software. He is down to earth guy with direct and pragmatic view and excellent at solving the client’s needs.
From young age he is an avid football player.

We have built tents for small private eco-resorts and major destinations, including the Valamar Group. Our clients win awards. Campsites using our tents have earned the TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice award and 2nd Place for Best Glamping in Slovenia. We also supplied the tents for Garden Village Bled, the world’s first 6-star glamping resort.
