We recently completed the installation of a premium sauna module at a prestigious glamping destination in Italy. The structure consists of two separate units, built independently and connected on-site to form a single, seamless retreat.
Precision engineering
The installation process was a masterclass in precision.
Hooking the two modules together felt like docking a space capsule; the crane work required absolute accuracy. If the placement was off by even a few millimeters, the units would not align. While the final result looks effortless in photos, achieving that level of finish required intense focus and skill.

Intentional design
The layout was designed to break the “boxy” aesthetic often associated with modular builds. We used a staggered logic:
- One module is shifted to the left.
- The second module is offset to the right.
The layout
The interior is divided into two functional zones to balance utility and relaxation:
- Module One: Houses the sauna and shower facilities.
- Module Two: Features a tea room, a dedicated relaxation space, and a bathroom.
- The Veranda: A massage tub was added later, serving as the perfect finishing touch to the build.

Overcoming technical challenges
This project pushed our technical boundaries. Connecting two independent modules in the field requires integrating several systems simultaneously at the joint:
- Plumbing and drainage systems.
- Full electrical hookups.
- Custom structural seals.
Because there is no manual for this specific configuration, we developed custom on-site solutions to ensure every connection was perfect.
The final outcome
The project was a resounding success. The final result landed exactly as intended, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.
As always, we stand by our slogan:
Go BIG or go HOME.
Glamping destination in Italy surrounded by vineyards
This is the place where the setting feels almost unfair in how beautiful it is.
It’s an agritourism property, so alongside the glamping you get wine they’ve grown themselves, a proper restaurant, and a pool.
Wooden glamping cabins. Vines as far as you can see. House wine at dinner.
Honestly, being part of a project like this is exactly why we do what we do. As BIGHEAD & Egoles, we’re proud our work found a home in a place that takes the whole experience this seriously.
Take a look at the images.
It’s truly beautiful.
