We engineered the AVIO tent specifically for a demanding seaside location, addressing the need for a construction that feels permanent and secure while maintaining a connection to the outdoors.
The tent is characterised by zigzag-shaped side support pillars, an architectural feature that gave the AVIO model its name.
Built for visual and structural stability
A guest’s sense of comfort begins with feeling safe.
We designed the AVIO with thick, oversized support beams, giving the tent a strong, compact, and solid appearance.
It addresses a common concern among guests: that temporary structures can feel fragile or unstable. The heavy-duty construction provides an immediate sense of strength, safety, and premium accommodation.
It is a recognisable design, offering site owners an alternative to standard safari tents.
Practical space for active holidays
This tent offers a distinct advantage.
Active coastal holidays generate clutter. Surfboards, wet beach gear, and luggage quickly consume the floor space of a standard tent.
We addressed this frustration by designing an unusually large porch. It serves as a practical staging area. Guests have a dedicated place to store water sports equipment or set up a barbecue without compromising their living space.
We also integrated a fully functional open kitchen directly onto the porch.
This allows guests to prepare meals outdoors, keeping cooking odours completely separate from the sleeping quarters while they enjoy the surrounding view.
A restful, adaptable interior
While the exterior is built for durability, the interior is designed for rest.
We relied on natural timber elements to create a warm environment that contrasts with the rugged outdoors. The central focus is a solid wood bed, accompanied by a heavy wooden wardrobe and custom LED nightstands.
Although we initially developed the AVIO with active couples in mind, the space requires flexibility to be a viable investment. To accommodate this, we included a compact pull-out sofa. This provides a practical extra bed, allowing a small family to comfortably use the tent without feeling crowded.
